Shining the Light on a Family in Darkness
-
“Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! When the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil. In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields. Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast a cord by lot in the congregation of the LORD”
(Micah 2: 1-5).

Dan Gayman's official position on race is well documented and recorded throughout the history of his ministry and in no way embraces the modern doctrine of racial harmony. However, in his attempt to deceive the local media and spin the public against Scott Stinson, Dan Gayman adopted the modern position of racial harmony in an attempt to show his church is fully compatible with the contemporary world.

Radio Announcer: "A leader of a northeast Vernon County church spotlighted in recent editions of the Joplin Globe has issued a statement. Dan Gayman spoke in behalf of the Church of Israel's 150 members and the seven trustees when he taped the statement yesterday at KNEM/KNMO.

Dan Gayman: "May I thank each of you for this opportunity to express our sense of gratefulness for your patience and understanding during which time the Joplin Globe has repeatedly devoted it's front page to raise up what we believe to be a very negative report against this church. The church here has been in Vernon County for 60 years and many in this congregation of 150 people are third generation members. These people are honest, God fearing and hard working people who work at jobs all over Nevada, Vernon County, Cedar County and surrounding counties. These people work in blue collar and professional jobs and own their own homes and/or businesses. These people vote. They desire to be good citizens in every way. They respect all authorities and teach their children to honor and respect all law enforcement agencies, judges, and persons of authority. These people harbor no hatred for other races and many of them have supported the candidacy of Alan Keyes, an outstanding African American for public office. Our people work among minorities of every kind. They attend college classes, serve in the armed forces with minority races and honor and respect them all. We do not evangelize other churches in southwest Missouri or Nevada and we desire to live and be at peace with people of every racial and religious persuasion."

“And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you” (II Peter 2:2-3).
